As you heard at last month’s meeting from our MAD Coordinator, Earl Hobbs, this year’s contest sponsored by the Illinois District is a Poker Contest for visiting interesting sites in Illinois. Motorist Awareness Division of GWRRA is designed to help make non-bikers be more alert to bikers and promote additional safety for us all. Each Chapter was required to submit 5 locations as part of the contest. Participants, either as individuals or as a group, visit these sites, take pictures of themselves in front and collect these to submit a poker hand later this year. It’s a fun way to inspire yourself for a day’s ride on the bike when you are trying to figure out a route. So go to this page for the rules of the contest and follow the link to see the actual sites. Ride Safe!
