Great meeting yesterday with 36 people in attendance and 2 guests. Good discussion on group riding techniques and safety.
This was after our great ride to Lake Delavan yesterday for lunch at the Waterfront Eatery. That ride was led by Bob & Arlene Graeff. Only 168 miles, but beautiful scenery.
After our morning meeting we had a ride with participation by 11 bikes and 16 people. I registered 131 miles for the day. Don Shore, our Ride Coordinator and Grand Planner, could not be on the ride with us due to mechanical issues with his bike. So he handed his route to me and away we went. Heading first west and then south through Oswego, we continued out Rt. 71 through Millbrook before heading north again. Continuing through Plano we finally ended up at the South Moon BBQ in Hinkley, IL for lunch. The weather was again perfect for a ride (that’s two days in a row!) and lunch was great. Probably our last official ride with Rich Struwe who is moving to Lenore, TN. We wish him and his wife well. Don thinks he may make it our ride destination next year, so get our rooms ready Rich! Thanks everyone, Ride Safe!
